Yardstick Content: Our Service Terms
Last updated: 24th May 2024
About These Terms & What They Mean
This bit explains the rules for working with Yardstick Content. When you sign up for our content marketing or social media services, you're agreeing to these terms. Think of it as our clear handshake. We're Yardstick Content, based right here at 11 St Mary's Gate, Manchester, M1 1PX. These terms are here so everyone knows what to expect. They cover how we work together to get your UK business real profit from its online efforts. We've tried to keep them straightforward, no fancy legal jargon, just solid common sense.
Our Services & Your Profit
We specialise in content marketing and social media strategies that actually make you money. Our aim is to build strategies that bring in real profit, helping your business grow. We'll work with you closely to figure out what your customers need to hear and see. This includes putting together clear content plans, running smart social media campaigns, and managing everything to get measurable results. We're focused on making your website and social channels work harder for you, turning online activity into proper leads and a better bottom line.
What We Need From You
For us to do our best work, we need your help. That means giving us accurate and timely information about your business, your goals, and what you're hoping to achieve. We also need any specific content details or access to platforms that are relevant to our work. It's also important that payments for our services are made on time, as we've set out in your project proposal. If anything crops up or you have questions, please just give us a shout. Good, open communication makes everything smoother and helps us hit your targets together.
Payments, Billing & Prices
All our service fees are clearly set out in the proposals we send you. You'll know exactly what you're paying for and when. Payments are generally due by specific dates, as agreed before we start any work. If a payment isn't made on time, we might have to pause our work until things are settled. This helps us keep our operations running smoothly so we can focus on getting you results. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£), and any taxes, like VAT, will be added if they apply, following UK regulations.
Who Owns What (Intellectual Property)
When we create specific content for your campaigns – things like blog posts, social media captions, or ad copy – you own that content once it's paid for. Simple as that. However, the general strategies, methods, tools, and ideas we use to deliver our services remain our property. We won't use your unique business data or specific content for other clients without your permission. Likewise, we ask that you don't use our unique strategic frameworks or tools for other purposes without talking to us first. It keeps things fair for everyone.
Ending Our Agreement & What Happens Then
If for any reason you or Yardstick Content decides to end our working agreement, we ask for 30 days' notice. This gives us enough time to properly wrap things up and hand over any unfinished work or assets we've been managing for you. You'll still be responsible for any payments due for work completed up to the termination date. Our aim is always to end things amicably and efficiently, making sure there's a smooth transition for your business. If you're ever thinking about stopping, it's always best to have a chat with us first.
The Legal Bits & Getting In Touch
Sometimes things happen beyond our control, like changes to social media platforms or unexpected technical hiccups. While we always do our best, we can't be held responsible for such external issues that might affect our services. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. So, if there's ever a serious disagreement that can't be sorted out directly, that's the legal framework we'd use. We might update these terms from time to time, and any changes will be posted on our website. You can always reach us with questions at [email protected] or by calling +44 161 496 0339.
